XF 1.2 Random error when liking a post

I have had a report from a member that when liking a post he has got the error:

The following error occurred:

An exception occurred: Mysqli statement execute error : Prepared statement needs to be re-prepared in /data01/xxxx/public_html/community/library/Zend/Db/Statement/Mysqli.php on line 214

1. Zend_Db_Statement_Mysqli->_execute() in Zend/Db/Statement.php at line 297
2. Zend_Db_Statement->execute() in Zend/Db/Adapter/Abstract.php at line 479
3. Zend_Db_Adapter_Abstract->query() in Zend/Db/Adapter/Abstract.php at line 825
4. Zend_Db_Adapter_Abstract->fetchOne() in XenForo/Error.php at line 55
5. XenForo_Error::unexpectedException() in XenForo/Application.php at line 363
6. XenForo_Application::handleException()

It doesn't happen all the time so not easily reproducible.

Can anyone help please?

This is a MySQL bug/issue.

Increase the MySQL table_definition_cache and/or table_open_cache values.

Thanks, that thread was useful. I can't work out though, is this something I can do with the database or I have to ask the hosting people to do this?

It's a server setting, not related to the database, so ask your host to increase those values.
