I have just recently purchased a XenForo license, but once I click enter my mySQL details into the site I get this error, please help.

YOU DON'T NEED to do that in order to CHMOD the data and internal_data folders!

I use GoDaddy's inbuilt FTP

have in mind that it will be the address of your forum in the url therefore readable by the public​

why you want to name with the database?​

database created you must not touch it​

the rest of "the adjustment", it is in the FTP server:​

If your forum is only a forum then you install it in: Webroot / (=no need to create a folder)​

If your site will have a web page in your forum will be: Webroot / forums / (=in this case you create a folder named "forums")​

...​

your database is "transparent." Whatever name you give to your forum . => This name will be in the url of your domain.​

an example:​

• your-site.com / forum (=webroot/forum)

or​

• your-site.com / (=webrot/)

At the moment I have sent a support ticket to Godaddy, if this doesn't solve my problem, I will start a conversation. I would also like to say thank you to everyone trying to help me in this thread, it is a great first impression of thee xenForo community.
