XF 2.1 Possible to set amount of items for RSS importer?

Hey,

If I want my rss importer to only grab 3 posts per 12 hours, is there a way to do that?

I see the time setting, but it then grabs like 20 posts from the same feed and it gets a little crazy/repetitive.

Just checked those out. Neither actually do what I was hoping.

IN the RSS feed importer that comes with XF... I want to:

1. set each feed to only import 2 items per day.
2. each item is limited to about 300 words so it's just a preview, not their full article.

All the RSS imports go into the same node, but not the same thread. They each get their own title from the RSS importer (as designed)...

know anything that can handle this?

The one I posted. I had the same problem. I would get like 35 threads at a time.

In the new add-on you set the post limit: 3
In XF you set "Fetch new entries every x" 12 hours

That's 3 entries twice a day.

Yeah that's exactly my problem haha! 35 posts by the SAME author too.

I was trying to mix it up so readers had some options.

And yours goes right into the forum, yeah? I just have a single node for this category, so they're all getting mixed in there.

ps - do I have to use the keyword filter though?

I want to grab their latest 2 stories regardless... it's usually the same topic, but not always the same keywords since there's hundreds of micro-topics in this same niche...

I leave the keyword field blank. Yes I use one forum for it.
