Notification emails - everyone complaining

Only 2 days in - and I'm already getting a LOT of complaints about the way notification emails are presented from all my most active members.
A lot of people use email preview functions which XF has not considered in the design.

I need to edit the subject line to shorten the "New reply to watched thread"
down to " ( House Morgain) " - my forum name. If you're getting a notify you want to know which forum or organisation it's from,

and completely redo the content structure
- mainly get rid of ALL the fussy headers stuff and just get straight into the post.
That's what you want to get at. Also email preview can then actually show what this email is about, as it should.
Add the details of the thread, where it came from and so on, afterwards.

Most of ALL make the "View this Thread" MUCH more prominent
- centre, large, obvious and better wording.
After all the point is to get them to VISIT!
At the moment it's pathetic. You have to hunt to find it!

So where are the templates for all the emails the forum sends out? On VB there was a collection of them all together.

search for all "Phrases" starting with "email". You should find everything there.

I am just checking this as well, but am not able to find the phrase in order to change the "email header" (which is derived from the Forum title).....and my Forum-title is veeeery long.

Erich thanks lots that's a good start.
Unfortunately it's not that easy.

It brings up the plain text notifications fine.

But for the html version all I can get at are the Subject line of the email which is
reply_to_watched_thread_x
That's fine. I can replace - - New reply to watched thread
with my board name.

But the only other part I get so far is the statement
{receiver}, {replier} replied to a thread you are watching at {board}.
which is watched_thread_reply_email_html

There is obviously something which governs the placing of this statement at the start where I would push it to the end after the post content and before the footer explanations.

Also above that statement on an html email is
- the board name
- the URL of the thread but very very tiny
- the member who posted this discussion post.

I need to clear ALL that out of the top and put it at the bottom.

{board}
is the title of your website. You just delete this {board} and put some other text instead.

If this is what you mean ?

It's

reply_to_watched_thread_x
no, {title} is the thread-title or the conversations-title.
I am looking to remove the {board} in the "personal conversations" Email.

Edit:
I guess you are right, but I do not want to change my board-title just to get the Email-title changed. Hopefully we can get a separate Phrase in order to change the Email-title.

Erich thanks.

The problem is that the main email design is apparently not available at all in Phrases. Why I don't know.
We can do plain text emails OK.

For html we can change the Subject line in
reply_to_watched_thread_x

We can also change the little statement saying who has posted to what thread.
watched_thread_reply_email_html

But that second item is only a small part of the whole email. We can also not move it out the way of the real content.
Wish it was the whole thing. To reach that we have to use something called "debug mode." Help!

Please do NOT go the "Debug" route.
You will destroy everything if you are not entirely sure what you are doing. Be careful!

Regarding the plain-text Emails which we had in the very beginning, I am not sure where this is coming from ? Do you have this as well ?

conversation_reply_email_subject
That's the email subject.
conversation_reply_email_text

That's the plain text Content
It starts .
{receiver_username}, {username} replied to your personal conversation at {board_title}:

conversation_reply_email_html
the html version only gives the opening line of the body text.
You do get
{receiver}, {sender} replied to your personal conversation at {board}.

so that might cover what you want.

no, all of those phrases do not include nor change the "Board title" as shown in my screenshot a couple posts above.
