It would have been fantastic if a dismissible NOTICE was posted announcing XenForo.com upgrade to 1.1

Just wanted to see it on LIVE site.

Thanks for the reply, kind of annoying. If it only cycled once that would be good, but infinite cycling; I would vote against.

So, I watched the video a few days ago, but I just took a browse around the forums and noticed it live in the test forums.

Should be a simple JS edit.

You could use an add-on to allow guests to dismiss, by storing the IDs of dismissed notices as a cookie (assuming the notice IDs are exposed).

two ideas / suggestions which I think would be a great addition:

1)
is it possible to put YouTube-videos into a notice, so that the videos are moving (scrolling) at the homepage, very similar to this:
https://www.team9000.net/goggles

2)
is it possible to put several "Member Avatars" (maybe featured members) into a notice, so that the Avatars are moving (scrolling) at the homepage.

You can use HTML in messages so both of those are possible.

I would suspect that if your conditions for showing the notices are set to allow guests, then yes.
