Multiple prefix options

Hello,

We have been using XenForo for many years, but each update that changes the system and makes customizations cumbersome is causing us significant issues. Additionally, the lack of updates for existing plugins is leading to various SEO and resource-related problems. To address these issues, we would greatly appreciate it if XenForo could integrate multi-prefix functionality as a default feature.

For example, when uploading resource content for game servers, we select a prefix like "gtasa." However, we need to select an additional prefix like "maps" for content related to "gtasa," which the current system does not support. Integrating multi-prefix support into XenForo would greatly facilitate such customizations and provide us with substantial benefits.

I've been a proponent of this for a long time. They should add either more options for prefixes or allow us to use tags with all those same options - meaning things like multiple admin defined tag selections for a user to choose from, etc.. Frankly, though, I doubt we'll ever get it, so don't hold your breath. I believe they purposefully don't ever build on these foundational systems because they want to support 3rd party developers, and so right now your best option is Xon's Multi-Prefix addon if you're wanting this option. Which I'm guessing you're already using, and I'm sure Xon will be updating it soon.

Exactly my thoughts - this option/addon should be by default in the "core".

Honestly, I'm so dependent on Xon's addon now, that if I were forced to choose between losing its features and skipping XF 2.3 altogether, I would probably choose skipping 2.3. That's not hyperbole, just a plain fact. And 2.4's features would have to be pretty damn compelling for me not to be willing to skip it, too. given the same choice.

A similar suggestion was made previously, noting that prefixes and tags are being mixed up due to prefixes having a different structure. Therefore, continuing with the current setup and allowing as many tags as desired is feasible. However, if prefixes are not included by default, providing two dynamic options would be very beneficial for us: either "Prefix Multi-Selection" or "Prefix Default Selection" would be sufficient.
