Is it possible to merge two forum together during importing vb 4 - xenForo?

Also can you just merge the database itself?

Yes, multiple forums can be imported into the same XenForo instance.

The original databases will be unaffected, the content will be imported into the XF database, along with attachments and avatars.

Thanks Brogan for you fast reply. We have one live active vb4 forum with about 7k in members and over 10,000 threads and 50k in post. I have another non-active vb4 data base only. This database has no forum running. Just the database only. With 33k in members 50k in threads and over 500,000 post.

We lost the forum due to a bad sector on are hard drive. But we recovered the database intact.

My question is it possible to import the data base alone without it being a live running forum?

    That is fine.

The only issue you will have with the standalone database is if avatars and attachments were stored in the file system.
Obviously they won't be brought across during the import.

Of course if they are stored in the database then it's a non issue.
