When you merge a thread and leave a redirect, the redirect takes you to the first page in the thread you've merged it with.

Would it not make sense for the redirect to jump to the post you've added to the existing thread?

The merged thread may be a similar topic (which is presumably why you've merged it) but when you click a redirect it can sometimes be a bit confusing when you then get taken to a post that does quite match the title you've clicked.

Anyone have some thoughts on this?
