Most report on iPhones, but other have stated the same problems.

Is this a known issue?

This is what happens when the post reply button at the top of the page is hit. The post and reply box never appear.7E764370-AE1D-4C77-9DCB-322D37611142.webp

Fresh install or not the issue could be with the style.

Specific users are able to post on forums.mchugo.net, but not on Syracusefan.com. McHugo.net is a new site, with a new install. Syracusefan.com has used xf for seven years, and now has a fresh install of xenforo 2.x.

Users on Syracusefan.com who have had the problem were asked to login to McHugo.net, amd post. They had no problem. I imported the McHugo.net default style to Syracusefan.com, and asked the same users to try and post - no luck, they had the same problem.

To answer your first question directly, no it’s not a known issue. We’ve not had any similar reports and I’m posting daily from iOS.

So we’ll need some more details such as specifically which devices are affected and which version of iOS.

Also can you be more specific on exactly what the symptoms of the issue are? I didn’t totally understand the reproduction steps mentioned in the first post.

Certain members visiting from iOS devises (most reported are from iPhones) don't see the box to post a new message, and they also can't reply.

I've posted on my board, asking for specific info. I'll post a link when there are sufficient replies. Thanks.

Thanks for the replies. The issue was that some visitors using older iOS devices don't see the post or reply form. They can't post or reply, but can send direct messages. The screen capture above was reported by one user ("Oops! We ran into some problems").

The problem turned out to be with my Sucuri Firewall. They've been contacted and a solution will have to come from them.

Loving the new script, btw, especially the widgets. There's even a few people on my sites who think I now actually know what I'm doing.
