Looking forward now to 1.1

I'll do a thread prefixes HYS this week, as I finished the UI for it a few days ago.

Would you be able to showcase how boards that already converted to vB would be able to use them? (We extensively used thread prefixes in vB, and still have the old vB available. If it would somehow be possible to grab the prefixes from there, or apply them "in bulk", that'd be great :) )

Aye...I believe you meant "how boards that already converted to XenForo would be able to use them?" ;)

The 1.1 version of the vBulletin importer supports importing thread prefixes into the XenForo format, but at this point it's not possible to apply the thread prefix import to an existing import. However, if the import_log table is in tact, it may be possible to take the prefix importing code and apply it retroactively.

Thanks, Kier.

Unless that table is used during upgrades, we ought to be good to go then :) I'll be sure to perform some tests then, though as an additional bonus, we did convert from vB4. Then again, I do not think Paul's code was radically different from the stock vB importer, so we're probably not going to be in too bad of a shape.

I'll just toss my reply in here too
I'm looking forward to the next version as well :)

Keep up the good work guys, take your take and get it right like I've seen in the past release.
..not like some (not to be mentioned) forum frameworks that have more bugs then the last versions :p

Anyways, I'm looking forward to the new release

have a good friday everyone! (y)

hhhmmmm all that writing on your frosted closet doors look VERY similar to what I had written on my frosted closet doors.... I'm suing!

Man, this thread is just a roller coaster. :ROFLMAO:

How about we all just sit tight a while longer? Everyone here knows that every version of XenForo delivered till now has been phenomenal and has actually risen above our expectations. There has been spectacular innovation with various features, and those introduced have worked flawlessly. And how can we forget the upgrades we have made without actually having a stroke?

Not trying to lecture...just trying to remind everyone that we may have got just a bit too used to one-month-upgrades. But hey, every one-month-upgrade has just been full of xen-goodness. Imagine how much goodness is bound to be hopefully packed in a major release for which the developers are taking such a long time. (y)

Have a lovely weekend, guys. :)

A big showcase of 1.1 in a 2 hour video should be more exciting than a lot of the movies I've seen!

Sounds about right... if kier releases it in .avi or .mkv format instead of just vimeo I can even then watch it on my home cinema system...

Ok. So dont try telling me it's "Still Summer" - It's getting dark in the mornings, the local pubs have started to take bookings for Christmas lunches, and to top it off it's been raining for nearly 24 hours now.... ;)
Can't really count that lunch bookings; Christmas starts earlier and earlier every year. :p

It seemed like we were going to get more "preview" videos after Notices, but the video preview just Amplified the "WE WANT 1.1" chants. So maybe no more "Preview" videos.
