XF 1.3 Login and password setups

Hi.

I am using xenforo as a paid membership only.

I am wondering if anyone is doing this and if so, how have you set up your membership set up.

ie: prospect makes a purchase > upon purchase we send them an email with a link for them to register (sent automatically via infusionsoft > they then create their user and login >

As the login page will be open to the public, should i create a secret question so that only the customer will receive the answer in the after purchase email.

Is this the only logical way?

It sounds like you want to use your own payment system? XenForo can accept Paypal by default.

If you are using your own payment system then you will likely need to create and hand out the account after you process their payment. Or you can ask users to register themselves and request privileged access once they pay at which point you would edit their user in the Admin CP and put them into a privileged group.

Consider using XenForo's own payment system with Paypal. It would make the process more streamlined:
