LiteSpeed Cache for XF2 - Community

LiteSpeed Cache for XF2 - Community 2.3.0

No permission to download
Just reading over the last few pages of this thread, so is it compatible with 2.3 or not? In the update notes it says it is? But can't tell from the comments if it's actually working or not.

The plugin version is 2.3.0, but lists compatibility for XF 2.0, 2.1, 2.2

I'm also hoping to get clarity on if this is functional.

One thing I noticed in XF2.3 is if a guest switches light/dark mode, it does not work correctly. Not a huge problem though.

Did you also try refreshing a few pages and then go back to the index?
If I switch the dark/light mode as a guest, it seems to work. However, if I visit a few pages it suddenly switch back to the previous variation.

edit: I just checked your site, same problem ;)

Yep, it happens when navigating as a guest (which is basically when LS works as it doesn't work for logged-in users).

@Michael A. Would you mind updating us if it's something you guys reviewing?

Thanks

Some info if it helps anyone:

The problem with the light/dark mode just might also inclue what Cloudflare does.
I've disabled the LiteSpeed cache, updated to XF 2.3, and saw some problems and errors, before I set the CF cache TTL to just 2 minutes (reverted it from "Respect existing headers").
Then, everything loaded normally and I could set the CF cache TTL back to the "Respect existing headers."

Deleting browser cache should also work just as well, but I don't expect my forum's users to bother with that.

Haven't yet tested this with the LiteSpeed cache plugin re-enabled, while leaving the CF cache TTL set to a shorter period.

Is it safe to just enabled the addon and if there are problems to disable it again? I've had it disabled since I upgraded to Xenforo 2.3. Just worried that if I enable it, it might damage something permanently. Anyone know?

I fancy enabling it to see what impact it has on Google Page Insights score.

Based on my testing - it is safe.

Once you are done testing, and if you are not happy with the results, you must disable the plugin (no need to delete it, though you can), and remove the .htaccess code related to LiteSpeed Cache addon.

The only problem I've seen is with the light/dark mode not switching properly. The rest worked fine with the LiteSpeed add-on.

So, you could disable the style variations and use the LiteSpeed cache without problems (unless there is some other bug that I missed - LOL).
