XF 1.2 Links with no Permission Don't Display

Basically, I have a custom navtab link to an area where you must be logged in to actually access it, but if the person is not logged in, the tab won't even display. Is there any way to prevent that from happening?

There should be no reason that a manually added link should remove itself if there is no permission to view the link. Are you sure there are no conditionals around the link within the navigation bar?

Do you have any add-ons that are related to the navigation bar?

No addons or conditionals were added in regards to the navigation bar. Does it help that it's a link to the create-thread route of a particular forum?

The software should still generate the link properly, and still display it. It shouldn't be removing the code altogether without a conditional. If you disable add-ons, does the tab appear? Does it remove itself on an unedited default style?
