XF 2.1 iPhone uploads sideways

I got a new phone. Moved from the iPhone X to the 11 Pro Max. But now my attachments are uploading in the wrong orientation. Send help!

Make sure your server has exif-data support and your phone is adding it correctly.

A lot of users nowdays post with a mobile device and somehow have their images rotated. They see that but post anyway. It would be nice if they can easily rotate the image.

It should not be happening and that suggestion is just a band-aid and is not even implemented.

Rotating for artistic preference is one thing, but not the issue at hand.

Exactly, that is why I posted about the exif data issues.

This never used to happen. Started a week ago with the new phone.

Yeah, place to start troubleshooting is the server and the phone.

Just look for this in your server environment report.

It is happening reproducibly and it's an issue of the phone, not the server. Just check the exif-data of the images.

If your holding the phone in portrait then that is how the photo will be uploaded. So then it is a user issue.

Nope. Not if you hold it in portrait mode parallel to the surface. For examaple a plate.
