iOS 5 is released

It times out on their side A LOT.
775mb should take 5 minutes, I haven't had a successful download yet.

I'm thinking it's more everyone trying to get it at once. :p
But then again, they sold out on their pre-orders within a handful of hours, and reached a million of them by the end of the day. Not sure how that works, but .. that's what's being reported.

OK, so I'm going crazy. OTA updates won't work for developers, and I didn't get teh GM release. Yet they've removed any and all downloads... Possibly gotta plug my phone into iTunes? I'm annoyed at developer updating.

Took for me 2 hours just to download.
Another 30 minutes to install with error,error,error...
Another 9 hours later it installed without errors the already downloaded file.

Downloaded last night - took about 2 hours. Installed this morning - took 10 mins, smooth as silk, no issues at all.

This is seriously the first time this felt like a Windows experience. Even the dev builds weren't this crazy. Not sure what's going on over there.

Like I said, took 20 mins to d/l and install on iPad 2.

However - it took 13 hours to d/l and install on my iPhone - on a broadband connection. wow. :X3:

I decided to take the leap of faith and this upgrade basically decides whether I wait for the iPhone 5(supposedly March) or if I get an Android. I am going to lose all of my apps but it wouldn't be that hard to wait for them to be updated or update them myself(I doubt that much has changed with iOS5 that everything will break.

The only apps I lost were ones I moved and forgot to update on iTunes, though I haven't actually checked all 103 apps to see if they work.
