ragtek, I know that other admins/site owners routinely run 'referral contests' to give an incentive to bring more members to the communities.

I read in this thread that you have 'daily stats', but can you make it so that it does a search for a particular 'date range' and that way we can determine how many referrals were successful in any given timeframe?

i don't need this feature, but it was requested, that's why i asked the customers how to implement it^^
I got only http://xenforo.com/community/threads/invite-referrer-system-paid.29405/page-3#post-349382 as response, BUT that's not going to happen.
i don't want to separate this into 2 add-ons

So if i'm reading the correctly, there's no way to show total referrals for all users between a certain time period, right? ie: a referral contest between June 1st and July 1st.. via acp or public - to decide a winner.

Both. ACP would be good in case you were running reports, etc. But, the public page would be nice to have as a 'race to the goal' sort of setup where the members can view their progress in the contest.

How should i handle the invites & referrers?

ATM this are 2 complete different things, tracked with 2 different methods
IMO this should be changed to only 1 "base" (sorry, don't know how to call it)


so if i invited 5 users where 4 of them registered + i've gave the referrerlink to 100 users where 20 of them registered, i'll have in sum 24 referred users...

Yes, this is how it should be done. It shouldn't matter if the user is invited through email, Facebook, etc. or referred by a link or by directly inputting the persons name when they register, they should all count as the same and add to the 'total referrals'.

And we definitely need a way to track referrals by individual users, so we can run contests, award those who refer the most, etc.

I am looking into such a contest and will probably need to track my members manually if your plugin cannot offer me a detailed outlook in the admin panel to ALL members who referred people, how many and the list of these people who were referred, just as VBulletin does by default. If it doesn't do this, right now for me it's not worth buying, but would love having it allow for the features we'd need to do a referral contest.
