XF 1.4 Import from VB 4.2.2 Questions

I downloaded XF and am ready to import from VB 4.2.2

My VB 4.2.2 is stored in public_html of the Virtual Server VPN we rent from Knownhost.

I am NOT a pro at this stuff, so I can use your help please!!

I want to import from VB to XF and put it in another folder (site) so I can perfect it before it goes public.

How would I do that?

Are there any step by step guides for importing from VB4 to XF 1.4?

Install XF in a folder.

Run the import.

Once you're happy with everything, archive the vB installation and move the XF installation.

Regarding your other question, install first xenforo at whatever folder you would like, let us say xen for example. Then after you are ready to go live with it, update the Board URL in the ACP -> Options -> Basic Board Information to reflect the new forum url and move the files to the new directory and you should be all set.
