XF 2.2 Image and link proxy - Threads shows broken images

I have checked similar threads here, but did not find a solution. Maybe anyone can help.

My forum runs on XenForo 2.2.8 Patch 1

Links in a thread are not showing images, just broken links

For inspection, i have copied URLs in my posting

c&p the links to the images in a brower shows the images.

Testing image proxy via ACP tells me:

http://members.ping.de/~dirk/foren/mf/messer/messer_01-qr.jpg could not be fetched or is not a valid image. The specific error message was: The URL is not requestable (local: 2002:5361:2af9:9741::2)

Switching image proxy off shows the images as expected.

Hmmm. I have to issues with the image proxy until now. Any ideas?

is the proxy.php file loading the images work is custom right?

Hmm, I did not change anything by myself.
Style is Standard Style.
I have also disabled all addons, no change.

XF not rendered the attachments with the proxy.php file way. The route usually starts with the attachment/{attachmentId}

Image proxy in general works as expected. At least I don't see other errors.

I have to bring this up, because i do not understand the problem.

Image link in my browser shows an image. I can see not something "special" with that link/image.

Hotlinking this image/URL in a forum thread only shows the read cross icon (broken image).

Unfortunately there is no change after upgrading to 2.2.9

What am I missing or is this just a bug?
