All colours are empty/blank.
Even if I use #ffffff nothing much changes (other than making the visit site button illegible)

If the field is blank it will not have a color. It needs to have a hex code value to represent a color.

Yeah. Colour's not my main concern though. Thinking it might be a few more versions until the kinks in the rewrite are ironed out?

Additionally, on a phone (iPhone 6, Safari) the newsletter doesn't format properly due to the two Trending Content tables... they are wider (fullwidth) than than the rest of the content, creating whitespace.

You can disable it for now. The Premium style will be updated to work with the new version soon.
