I would like to have my users to "interact" via the Forum and the "Personal Conversations".

I do not want my users to show their "Additional Contact Identities" in order for others to get in touch with them by bypassing my Forum.

Is there a way to completely disable the "Additional Contact Identities" ?

    Many thanks!

Delete them from the Custom User Fields section of the ACP.

hmm... is there an easy way to "recover" those fields again ?
Or is the data lost once those fields are deleted?

You will need to recreate them if you have deleted them.

yeah, but the "header" named (Contact Identities) is gone once you delete them all.
Not sure how to re-create this header?

o.k., it works fine to re-create the fields again, but the user-data is lost.....

    Which header from where?

Err, you deleted the fields...of course it's gone.

I have meant the "header" named "Contact Details". But this is created automagically once you click onto "Display Location" when you recreate the fields.
It is working nice, just that the user-data (data entries) is lost once you delete the fields and user-data is not recoverable.

It's fine for me as I do not have many users anyway......otherwise it would be better to have an option for those fields, like "Display / Not Display" in order to avoid tht data is lost.

    Thanks!

Turn off the ability for users to edit it.
