My server decided to take a shat. I've got the MySQLData directory, however, when I move the files into the new data directory, they're not being recognized.

Help!

Have you defined the data directories correctly?

To be honest, I'm at the point where I'd let someone remote my server to help me out.

Trusted someone of course.

Sounds like you may need a specialist to take a look honestly.

The files you have

Are they a) just copied files from when mysql was running?

or b) Recovered files from the knackered server?

Definitely what Slavik said... especially when dealing with InnoDB log files (which you most definitely need if you are dealing with InnoDB tables).

Still killing me.

Would it be possible for one of you guys to take my various databases, and do SQL dumps of them?
