XF 1.3 How do I ban such email IDs?

I've been noticing a sudden rise in the spammers using email IDs like: hkf.g.hfhld.fe.ri.rt@gmail.com . Is there any way I can ban such users? Say all the email registrations that have more than 2 'dots' before the @ sign?

There's a chance this might work but I would recommend thoroughly testing it first! Add these to your Banned E-mails list:

*.*.*.*@*.*
*.*.*.*.*@*.*
*.*.*.*.*.*@*.*

And so on...

For 3 or more dots? this:
*.*.*.*@* ?

I think it's good idea to only block 3 or more dots on email but not 2 and below.

That would be 2+ - you can see the pattern based on what you want to block.
