Did you buy the Enhanced Search addon? That adds $10 to the renewal cost.

The yearly renewal is $40, or $50 if you have the Enhanced Search addon.

The payment of 140$ you just made gives you the software and 1 year of Ticket support and updates. After 1 year has passed (from when you purchase) to receive updates and ticket support you will have to pay for a renewal which is 40$ which will extend for another year (12 months).

(A lot of what amles the difference is very short sentences)
First time you buy the standard price XF = $140.
You can then use that XF download permanently.
You can get help here on the forum PLUS send a special support ticket to get help.
After one year you can continue to use the same XF you have.
You an get help here on the forum.
After one year you can not use the special support ticket service.
You cannot get a new, better version if XF.
To get these things you must pay the second year $40.
But if there is no new version XF it is not important.
