The server isn't able to connect to Gravatar. It should correct itself.

Hi,

I know this is an old thread, but I have been having a similar issue on my machine for the past few weeks. I assumed that it would self-correct as well, but I have given it plenty of time and the error is still happening. Here is one (of many) of my error messages.

This would really just indicate a connectivity issue between your server and Gravatar's. Since it just seems to be affecting you, it would likely imply an issue such as a firewall blocking the connection. You may need to contact your host to have them look into it (as we are just triggering an underlying network request).

Weird. I'm hosting it on my own dedicated server, but I haven't changed my firewall configuration for months. I just wonder what could have possibly triggered this.

The issues stopped around Wednesday, but I'll watch and see if anything else pops up. Hopefully, it's good to go now. I just wonder how to troubleshoot this if it continues to happen.
