Wow...way to go Apple. That is actually really stupid, let the App Store be a free market! I understand their need to review apps to make sure they work, but this is just trying to monopolize their platform. I am actually ashamed to use Apple products right now.

No. I am ashamed, but not repulsed. The products are still great, the company behind them might lose some of my respect for a day or two.

It's been reported and I think they rolled out automatic updates to disable certain graphical features. New version will come out soon.
I just wish we have a real Chrome browser on iOS. In the mean time, I enjoy tab sync feature.

As far as I'm aware you can't do automatic updates. Downloading code is against policy.
