Genesis - Open Source Style Framework 1.0.0 Beta 1

No permission to download
Why did you change such a simple(useful modification) into almost a full blown different add-on?

Agree.. Hate seeing this so bloated now. Glad I didn't upgrade as the old version still works fine and doesn't have all the unneeded bells and whistles of this.

I believe these threads in the RM are for discussion as well as support. I think it's fair enough for people to make comments on a resource, especially when changes are made to it. After all, it gives feedback to the author.

I do like it when resources are improved on and additional functionality is added. However in this case the new stuff bears no relation to the original purpose of this add-on which was simply to add an avatar to the last post. I don't need or want the extra functionality and also think it would have been better as a new add-on. Therefore I too won't be upgrading to this new version.

Agreed with this. The old version for anyone who doesn't want the genesis one can be downloaded under the version history tab or here: https://xenforo.com/community/resou...avatar-by-waindigo.266/download?version=10154

Hopefully based on the input already received in the last few hours you will reconsider this change and offer this as a new add-on and continue to update and support a stand alone version of Last Post Avatar.

Yeah my audentio theme has all those new functions included. still a good addon for people who don't have these things from another place. I keep my older version also though unless i decide to change themes.

Jon W updated Genesis by Waindigo (formerly Last Post Avatar by Waindigo) with a new update entry:

Version 1.0.1 released

Bug fixes:
  • Style properties for 'Show Top Breadcrumb' and 'Show Bottom Breadcrumb' now enabled by default.
  • Fixed "Undefined variable: xenOptions" error when editing phrases.
Note: By popular request, Last Post Avatar by Waindigo is still available as a standalone add-on. It can be found here and will continue to be supported for the foreseeable future. The standalone version...

I didn't like the new one at all. It even disabled the forum links bar on every page so I just shut it off. Thanks @oman for providing the old AO I will remove this one and install the old one.

Jon thanks for all the generous work you do for the XF xommunity. While I don't care for this new version I use several of your AOs and have donated to you for them and encourage others to do the same. Keep up the good work.

Thank-you!
Perhaps a title update on this to remove the "formerly ..."?
