Well I'm no fan of gore, boring and unpleasant and unnecessary - unnecessary except to please a certain kind of taste I suppose.
The nudity in GOT was boring. All the women were thin, bald, distinctively modern. The men's bodies were uninteresting too.
The sex was a bit better than the general run. At least not obsessed with the missionary position. The director actually seemed to have a bit of a thing for doggy style.
But almost all of it was the usual crude rush rush, chew each others' mouths, crash around in an unskilful way. Like the mass of porn, not sexy, not sensual, not anything to do with good sex.
Not helped by bald bony bodies.
Sigh. I generally take a few mins to make a cup of tea if sex looms up.
Still after my next book is finished I'll do one about sex. I see it as a kind of social duty. Someone has to share it around for young people to learn the skills. I used to try to help a few virgins of either sex to get the basics each year but once I found my true love I stopped having lots of lovers. So a book it will be.

Not to get people laid but to teach young people of both sexes good skills.
Quite hard work - virgins are normally nervous and clumsy. But I did my bit. Quite a few later lovers owe me a pint!

Since I haven't read all the books yet, and certainly not all of the surrounding works/theories/UGC/etc, does anyone know if there is any existing GoT canon regarding Westerosi customs as far as pubic hair is concerned?

I know on review sites it's been mentioned as cause of complaints.
The recent fashion for shaved pubes into a narrow central column was until the last few years a custom amoing Japanese and Singapore prostitutes.
Together with the spread of other porn/ prostitute fashions to ordinary girls nowadays, this has spread enormously to the point that young women now feel guilty if they do not comply. Some men even say they are disgusted at natural body hair.
There is good evidence that repeated shaving of the vaginal area opens the skin to infections through small laceration wounds. What it does to a person's sexual confidence is a concern as it clearly signals that the natural body is disgusting if done more than occasionally..
Long term, shaving strengthens the hair follicles - this is why men who shave are so bristly also underarm bristles. Bristles in a sensitive area like labia/ vagina are excruciatingly uncomfortable. So the practice quickly becomes a compulsive habit just to stave off the constant threat of discomfort. It is difficult to return to a natural state once bristles are established.
Hardly a sensuous relaxing experience. Fair enough in paid sex where the comfort of the seller is not important. But a shame that this has spread to unpaid lovers.
