Quote overload :D

We had Bezelye tonight which is a Turkish dish consisting of beef, potatoes, peas (bezelye), carrots, tomatoes, onions and herbs & spices.

I would have posted pic's but I was starving and now I've eaten it all :D

We have a tradition of smoked salmon and champagne for Christmas morning, whilst unwrapping gifts :D no idea where that started either.. but I am not complaining.. two of my fave things :D

Sounds really nice Brogan, I actually love peas, think they are very underrated as a veg.. and much maligned hehehe poor little things.

Jeff accuses me of putting peas and smokey paprika in everything hehehee, I don't but he loves to give me a hard time about it!.

Very good indeed!

Glad to hear it! So nice to have a night off cooking every now and again isn't it!

Jeff has just gotten back from the Doctors, has been having stomach pains, they are investigating.. but of course he now has to be on a bland diet :|

Our tradition is sleeping in. My son isn't as excited about Christmas morning as your "typical" kid is.

Happy Anniversary :D YUM! Cheesecake looks stunning Liz.. Did you remove the base this time like you said you wanted to?
Thank you, we had a good day today. No, I left it on this time.
Well last night we were going to have Chilli - but Jeff wasn't feeling well, so wanted something simple.. I made him savoury mince and mash instead. I just had some of the mince, no spud, as I am on a diet, (lost 1.2kg /2.6lb already this week - no doubt it will slow down though!) was pretty tasty actually, I threw in a can of lentils to make it a bit healthier and coz I like them.
Sorry he's not feeling good.
That looks a lot like my Shepherd's Pie.

I eat pie for breakfast on Christmas morning :D.

I do most of the baking for my family, and we celebrate the day before, and the day after (For the main family), so that my cousins and brother get equal time with all of the family.

Ahhh yes, ours is the same :p Many's the year we have had to wake him up at like 9.30 or later as we couldn't wait any longer :D hehehe Aspies.. gotta love em!

Thanks, yeah I think it is an ulcer :( poor fella, they are running more tests tomorrow.

It was just like my Sheperd's Pie too.. but without the baking part as I didn't want any mash on mine.

He just told me "it wasn't my favourite thing" - next time I'll make the dynamite chilli then buster, you can stick to your dry crackers!

What kind of Pie?

Aren't you good :D Yeah, I am loving this spreading it out over three days we now do as well, the day after Christmas - 26th is called Boxing Day here and in Britain, not sure where else.. but it is another public holiday and is usually spent BBQing or beaching, or picnicing, love it!

Canada as well I think?

And it depends on the pie~. I end up making like 5-6 pies depending on the ones that were requested. There is always apple, pecan, and one berry.

I always make a deep dish apple crumb pie, and a strawberry rhubarb pie.
We also bake a birthday cake for Jesus. :)
I've been doing two apple pies lately, one made super tart (Because thats how I like it!), and a deep dish one thats more sweet and spiced.

Now that you reminded me... Yeah I did :D.

I'll have my girlfriend remind me to take pictures of food this weekend, because I'm cooking for her younger brothers birthday.

Yes I did, actually a nice person did it for me. :)

Perhaps I will take some pictures of the pot roast we are having tomorrow.

A nice person did that for me once here too :)

Good man! :D

Just had a toasted wholegrain sandwich with some of the left over meat from last night.. mmmm was good.
