Food Fantasia

It was rather good except that the cow was slightly overcooked for my liking, I should have taken her out about 15 minutes earlier than whence I did.

ahh yeah, well there's always next time :D That's the beauty of cooking isn't it, one continues to learn and refine our techniques over time :D

Went shopping earlier yesterday (Sunday) and found some very lean 2" pork chops which I'll be cooking with an apple cider/apple cider vinegar glaze tonight (Monday).

Haven't decided what I'll put them with, but thinking some roasted vegetables.

They sound really nice :D Please get a photo for us when it is done!

Inspired by Kier's effort yesterday, and by my lack of time today, we just had an omelette tonight, very yummy it was too!

I started back on my strict eating plan today too, trying to lose some weight.

Not really food, but still delectable, the wife left this on my desk the other night :) Espresso Martini

Kier you might be on a sticky wicket trying to convince colonials about the adoption of cuisine in the U.K. From a rugby site where they were discussing some boycott of NZ lamb over halal slaughter methods and non-labeling of said meat.

From a Brit trying to explain the issue:

"75% of it.

The boycott is about the freedom to choose and for NZ to be labelled correctly."

The answer from an Aussie was swift and a low blow really:

"What are you serving with your chips instead?"

Wont link as the debate has hit the gutter pretty quickly, and hey a couple of sheep jokes I hadn't heard before :) Have refrained from entering that one.

Pork chops not happening when its 115 degrees :p.

If it cools down, I'll probably be doing them tomorrow. Don't know what I'm doing for dinner tonight :(.

Wowsers.. we had a week of those temps last year, horrible :( Try to stay cool!

Maybe PorkChopcicles?

Probably having these (Junk food :p) because I don't want to bother doing anything that'll increase the heat in the house (Had the roof replaced last winter, and now all the heat just sits inside at my moms... Totally makes me miss the pool at my place).

I will be making ice cream if my brother is staying over tonight, or if he comes over tomorrow, and I'll take pictures of that. I need to make some new random flavor to make him test anyways.

About the only good thing about those sorts of temps is the excuse to eat lots of ice cream :D

Flautas.. never heard of them :p All the Americans who have been here tell me we have dreadful Mexican food.. they are probably right, it isn't a huge thing here.. we're more into Asian I guess.

Are they any good?
