You through out bacon?

Not literally no, but there are various cuts of bacon, we don't actually get the thin strips you have in Australia at all, although you *can* get those attached to the round bits I used in the photo.. labelled "australian bacon" in this pic....

But now a days you can buy just the round bit, which is actually the loin of pork, smoked into bacon. We don't ever buy the ones with "tails" like your bacon, it would be a waste as we don't eat it.

Australia and New Zealand

Generally as for the United Kingdom. Middle bacon is the most common variety and are sold in "rashers". Middle bacon includes the streaky, fatty section along with the leaner "eye" at one end. In response to increasing consumer diet-consciousness, some supermarkets also offer the leaner "eye" end only. This is sold as "short cut bacon" and is usually priced slightly higher than middle bacon. Both varieties are usually available in rindless, that is, with the rind removed.[11]

While some Americans are fat.....the lazy ones. The active ones need the fat. It is not possible to fail to lose weight doing the AP Trail. I lost 30 pounds eating as much fat as I could stuff myself with.

Send us your fatty part of the bacon. I will eat it.

I actually use both, depending on what I'm making.

American bacon is nicer for when you want something crunchy though :p.

So all my American buddies tell me :D Dear friend who was here a few years ago was incensed he couldn't get "real bacon" cooked for him :p We still parry back and forth about it :D

Theres actually a butcher that has about 15 different types of bacon near where my dad lives; if it wasn't a ~1 hour drive there, I'd probably be buying tons of bacon from him all the time.

Bacon is just the best thing ever... and yeah I would love to eat that fatty tail bit ... but it is just too unhealthy, and I am fat enough :p lol
