I'm A Site Administrator , my Client is using the newest Version 1.5.12 or so.
If a new user is registered he didn't get a Mail for the Confirmation.

Not a bug.

Email absolutely works on xenforo.

You need to look at email implementation or server setup or if email is sent to spam
 
If you require support, the license holder will have to add your forum user name as an associated user, which will then allow you to post in the support forums.
