Duplicate email alerts for moderation items

It would be useful to have a user option to receive email alerts for moderation items.

Yes, you can view moderation items when you log in, but I think it would be useful to have the option to receive an email alert when something needs your moderation attention.

This suggestion is pretty old but as far as I can see it is not actually a dplicate.

I think it would be really useful to have some kind of alert functionality (email or push) for contetn (users, post, etc.) that needs to be aproved.

I do have a forum that does not have much traffic, but does seem to attract quite a few human spammers so it' configured to require content from new users to be moderated.
It would be really useful if I could get alerted if there is anything to do.
