XF 1.2 Editing options for mods/admins

It's an option on the edit form when a moderator has the Edit post by anyone permission. I see no option to force it without an addon. Or you could make it checked by default by editing this template:

Admin CP -> Appearance -> Templates -> helper_edit_silent

Change highlighted in red:

Code:
<dl class="ctrlUnit {$extraClasses}">
	<dt></dt>
	<dd><ul>
		<li><label><input type="checkbox" name="silent" value="1" id="ctrl_silent" class="Disabler" {xen:checked '{$silentEdit} OR 1'} /> {xen:phrase edit_silently}</label>
			<p class="explain">{xen:phrase if_selected_no_last_edited_note_will_be_added_for_this_edit}</p>
			<ul id="ctrl_silent_Disabler">
				<li><label><input type="checkbox" name="clear_edit" value="1" {xen:checked $clearEdit} /> {xen:phrase clear_last_edit_information}</label>
					<p class="explain">{xen:phrase if_selected_any_existing_last_edited_note_will_be_removed}</p>
				</li>
			</ul>
		</li>
	</ul></dd>
</dl>
