It's pretty scary stuff, well worth watching.

I quite enjoyed Kaos on Netflix a couple of weeks ago.

It sadly got cancelled, but is a fun watch just for the one season. Jeff Goldblum is great in it, a nice assortment of British actors too in a fictional modern day Crete based in a world where the Greek Gods have fun with the humans.

I second Tokyo Vice too (it is all subtitled though, so need to pay attention)

If you’re into sci-fi, I always recommend Babylon 5. Sure, the 90s CGI doesn’t hold up as well as they’d hoped but the storytelling absolutely does. Unlike many shows, B5 was conceived of as a 5 year arc, so things that get set up in season 1 do have their payoff and when you get to the end of season 4 (where the 5 year arc ends, compressed owing to studio stuff), the threads are tied up, the things set up are paid off and so on. Being set up as a 5 year plan also meant accommodating people leaving - plans were made in the event of everyone in the cast leaving to ensure the story would work even if things changed.

And it has, hands down, some of the best characterisation in the drama. At the start we meet Londo and G’Kar, ambassadors from Centauri and Narn respectively. Narn had recently thrown off the Centauri rule and relations between the two are cordial but not friendly. Over time these two, above all else, go on one heck of a journey. It’s worth it just for these two alone.

That's what I'm a tiny bit afraid of, already looking for ways to get us out of the States but alas I have no degree and dev's aren't considered skilled workers. Luckily the fiance is a nurse / surgical tech.
 
Anybody watched Z Nation? It is a cult classic, one of my favourites and a go to when I am "in between" things to watch.

A lot of countries don't require a degree or have as stringent requirements on foreign workers as the US does and with your other half's medical experience, there should be lots of opportunities.

Look into it, what have you got to lose?

Back on topic, I watched Severance, which was just weird.
