As designed Double Notice for Form Validation Errors on Profiles

It seems a bit unnecessary to me to have two things telling you the exact same thing when exceeding a character limit--the validation error tag below the editor and an overlay. On profiles, it might be better to either have only the validation error tag or the validation error overlay--I'd go with an overlay only to be consistent. Everywhere else that is similar and you exceed a character limit, only an overlay pops up.



If this turns out to be as designed, though, could it be moved to XenForo Suggestions?

This happens in a lot of places.

The overlay makes it clear there is an error. The inline errors make it clear where, specifically, the errors occurred.
