Do you set ALL permission to YES for admin?

I know the permission of Xenforo is set by adding all group permissions together (i.e. YES + NO = YES). But is it a good idea to simply set all permissions for admin group to YES? Maybe there are some exceptions, then set it to NO.

Is it a good practice?

Unless administrators are also moderators and you want them to be able to hard delete content then no.

I fully agree. If I'm to make a mistake in judgment, I don't want it to be permanent, nor give that power to others. IMHO, that way other mods can also chime in if need be.

As for Admins (forum owner and developers) they should however have most YES, but as you mention, there are exceptions. In my case, I don't give the power to edit other people's conversations. I feel that would be a violation of privacy.
