Update highlights

This version is a rework that mostly is invisible for end-users, with the exception of User Upgrade products no longer being flagged as free. This update is a companion update to DragonByte Tickets v4.

In order to support DragonByte Tickets no longer depending on DragonByte eCommerce, parts of the functionality covered by Tickets has now been taken over by eCommerce.

Hotfix

This add-on has been hotfixed to address an issue affecting all front-end pages while this add-on is enabled. This issue was caused by additional security measures introduced in XenForo 2.3.13.

The latest version has been patched, and can be downloaded at no additional cost. If you are running an older version and you are unable to upgrade for whatever reason, please let me know the exact version you are running and I will apply the hotfix accordingly.

Note: Both the latest Beta...

Hi everyone,
I'm interested in buying this add-on, but is it possible to get a link to a site that uses this mod so I can see some concrete examples in action?
Thanks!

DragonByte Tech updated [DBTech] DragonByte eCommerce with a new update entry:

5.3.0 Beta 2

Update highlights

Continuing the work of Beta 1, this version reworks another significant part; The "Address line 1" through 4 and "Business c/o" fields have been converted into "Address fields". This uses the standard XenForo "custom fields" feature, so you are free to add and remove (or easily change the title of) these fields as fits your needs.

Fields created under the "Business" display group will only be shown if the user indicates the address is a business...

After a successful Beta period, v5.3 is now ready for wider release. As you can see by the changelog, a significant amount of fixes have been incorporated into this release. There is one new feature; the filtering feature on the Downloads list in the AdminCP can now accept download version numbers. Particularly useful if you need to recall information about older versions that may not show up when just filtering on the product name.

5.4.0

Update highlights

Thanks to recent scientific advancements in the field of subspace quantum strings, things previously thought impossible turned out to actually be possible. I have a few questions:
1. I have PHP 8.1, will this still work or do I need 8.3?
2. The math extension, is that required? The original link to information about it produced a 404 type error.
3. I just want to sell physical items for cash and let users handle all that themselves. Can this be easily set up to do that?

Thanks!

For XenForo 2.3, PHP 8.2 is required. You should not be running 8.1 as it's very old at this point.

2. The math extension, is that required? The original link to information about it produced a 404 type error.
The bcmath extension is required for XenForo 2.3. Here's the link with more information: https://www.php.net/manual/en/book.bc.php

You can allow users to create Classifieds listings with only Physical items enabled. Because this uses the XenForo payment profile system, you would not be able to allow users to confirm in-person cash payments themselves. Even if you were to install a "Manual Payments" payment profile, it would not be accessible via the front-end.

Oh weird on my websites hosting portal it says 8.1 is the installed version but I have the newest version of Xenforo running on it. (just re-purchased and installed) So if I am on the newest Xenforo I should be fine regarding the bcmath extension?

Regarding physical payments, my forum is for a local community of card/coin collectors. I want a place people can post stuff for sale but the handling of it is mostly done on the honor system. Sort of like the popular subreddit pmforsales.

On a successful "purchase" it would just notify the two parties and then they can provide shipping info if needed or can both mark once a transaction is successful.

No. You need PHP version 8.2 or newer. Please contact your host if you require assistance with upgrading your PHP version.

If you go to admin.php?tools/phpinfo you can also search for bcmath to find out if you have the extension installed:

If it is not installed, you will also need to ask them to enable it.

In that case you could potentially combine it with this addon: https://atelieraphelion.com/products/manual-payment-profile.100/ and mark the transactions in the AdminCP (as per that add-on) as confirmed once both parties confirm the transaction has been paid.

Appreciate the responses. I have a little research to do.

I could actually set it myself to 8.3 so no problem there. Now I just need to see if I can get my Zelle / Cash only payment system fleshed out and viable. I will look into that addon and see if I can make it work with this software. Thanks for your time.

One final question - now that this is able to be used as a Classifieds between users - is there any way to make it automatically also start a forum message between buyer and selling when a purchase is and/or pending?
