[DBTech] DragonByte Donate

[DBTech] DragonByte Donate [Paid] 3.0.3

No permission to buy (€14.95)
Perfect. I'll be waiting for the update and hope to get it working :)

I have another suggestion that you may also see it useful: A profile tab to show donation history of each person (we be able to see who can see that tab in users profiles, as a usergroup permission. Just a group, or plus the user himself, or all users)
Why this can be useful? Some donations will be reset. Some will be closed. Some will be removed. and ... Both (admins) and (Donators) mostly want to be able to see history of donations by a certain users. Or for example a user may wonder when he sees drives that he donated to, are not in the list of donation drives anymore. But when he see his donation history in his profile too, then he may feel better and will be sure that we never forget their kindness. :)
It has other usages that you absolutely know, so I don't write them anymore.

I know you have a few features in list to add them in next 2 or 3 updates, also myself added a few suggestion here and here too, so I don't mean we need this new one soon and I'm sure you don't have time until next few updates. But will be appreciated if you also add this to future list.

Thanks in advance

Why not have that information in admincp and in /account/ ?
That seems better than cluttering the profile up.

so, it has an amount and when user donated all of it, it will be closed. No reset in special date. No countdown
Just a quick message to let you know I've been able to add this functionality for you. By setting an empty end date, the countdown will be hidden and the Current / Goal amount will take up the full width of the block.

I'm going to be looking more at mobile compatibility before the Gold release tonight, and make the next update contain the recent/top donations blocks :)

DragonByte Tech updated [DBTech] DragonByte Donate with a new update entry:

2.0.0 Gold

Feature: Setting an empty end date will now create a donation drive that runs until the full amount has been collected.
Change: When using a mobile browser, the Countdown part of the donation block will now display on a new line, rather than squishing together on the same line
Fix: The "Pending Upgrade" notice was missing its phrase

Another Question - In each drive it says "Alternate PayPal Email". I cant for the life of me see where the Main Paypal Email is entered.... Any clues please?? :D

I added a donation drive. (with no ending date. and "Is Recurring" is set to NO)
two users also donated. (then it was showing 1% in progress bar and 25000 as received amount)
suddenly I deactivated the drive by mistake. Then again activated it.
Now that I visit its page, although in its hostory its showing those two person who donated, but in progress bar it is showing 0% and in received amount it show 0 too!
I have no idea why this happened.

there is a bug that I don't know when it happens exactly, but its so annoying. I once reported it before:
I created 2 donation drive. Second one from time to time becomes deactivated automatically. I didn't deactivated it. But each day I check it and see its not being displayed in index page of donation drives and when I check it in admincp, I see it is disabled, and again I activate the drive and it comes. now again I tested the index page and saw the drive deactivated again! Its weird. each day I should check and activate it! (but first drive is always active, at least so far!)

any opinion will be appreciated.

also each time that it becomes deactivated, it "received amount" also becomes 0! although you can see donations done in its dedicated page.
(the donation drive has no ending date and is not recurring)

Now again I checked my site and saw that donation drive is deactivated again :|
all its setting seem OK but I don't know why this happens.
(you know why Its more annoying for me in this time? because we sent 16.000 emails for a special subject and put the link of donation drive in it and now we see just 2 users donated and they exactly donated when the email sent and the drive was active. since then the drive is being deactivated automatically from time to time and we should check it continually to activate it And because we are busy for different things, we find less time to check all small parts of our sites, and so, mostly we check this part lately!)

Hope to get a fix for it. :)

Thanks in advance

Added a hotfix to /library/DBTech/Donate/Model/Drive.php :)

Thanks
This fix dorsnt bring the actual received amount number and actual percent of progress bar of that drive? Now it is clear that a few users donated in that drive but both received amount and percent are zero.

Correct, you would need to manually edit this by enabling debug mode (which opens the "Current Amount" setting).

Well that went swimmingly...

Switched it on and....

ERROR
Division by zero

however nothing in the Error log. Is there a way to debug??

EDIT - Ok have found a bug...I think
Video:

A suggestion - Not liking the massive banner across the top of the forum. Any chance the donate stuff could be on it's own page (maybe writes it to /donate/ )?? When you click on the donate tab at the top it takes you to a new page where the "full" version is displayed??

Also, when set to never-ending, it still displays "the donation drive ends in"....

Cheers

You don't have to use the front page block, there is a navbar tab as well :)

I'm unable to replicate any division by zero errors, can you please specify how you produced it?

Ahh - found out why :)

Goal amount was set to 0 on a recurring, non expiring donation drive - doesn't like this! If the goal is 0 then you get the divide 0 error.

What i would like to be able to do is to set up 3 "categories" of donation, have them all as being able to accept donations, display individual donated amounts, however not display the total amount collected in each, nor have to specify a "goal" as such...

Think of it this way - three collection boxes at a shop. You don't know How much each has in it (only for accounting purposes i.e. by Admins to see which is the most used/raised). The boxes just get replaced Jan 1st every year (so there is no "target"). You can donate to whichever box you would like to - however as a user dont know how much is in each, and since it's recurring it keeps going until the Admin thinks it's full and replaces with another... :)
However you get a "receipt" for your donation, and get a "sticker" for it (upgraded for a period of 12 months). Any additional donations in the 12 months and you get a new "sticker" lasting 12 months...

Would be good since, in this case, people donate to one of three donation "drives" based upon why they are donating (software/support/sales). The admins can take a look and see how much has been donated via each, therefore knowing where most of the donations have come from. There is no limit, since each "drive" is there to be able to monitor the donations made for each department so to speak.

Hope that makes sense :D
