XF 2.0 Custom Template - Upgrading from XF 1 to XF 2

If i created new custom template on XF 1, and i upgraded to XF 2, will i lose that custom template?

Yes, the template syntax is different from XF1 to XF2

I understand the template code is different.
My question is whether new template that i created in XF 1 will be carried over to XF 2

For the most part, custom templates are not maintained between 1.x and 2.x.
