Is this correct for changing the homepage to be the featured threads page?



Doesn't seem to be working but wanted to rule this out first before disabling other addons.

No, change the Index Page Route:

Not sure if I'm doing something wrong or just incorrectly expecting this to work like xenporta.

The featured threads page is now at my forum root but the Forums tab is highlighted and there's no Home tab.

I assume I need to change some other settings?

Edit: Putting the homepage URL setting as / seems to have done it. The only issue left is when on the home page it automatically highlights the Forum tab. I suspect that might just be how it works though.

Yes, Featured Threads doesn't have its own tab.

It is part of the /threads route which is under the Forums tab.

How did you do the "Likes" and would doing the same for Post Ratings be possible (e.g. display the most popular rating like it does on the forum index)?

It would probably be quite simple; all of the relevant data is already available in the templates, such as the thread id, title, etc.

It's not something I would include in the add-on though.

Brogan is correct, it's relatively easy with just a couple of quick edits.

One more small addition.



Rather than have a fixed value of 85 for the uploaded icon quality (as is the case with avatars and RM icons), I have added a new option parameter so it can be customised.

As this is a big update (in terms of code), the biggest yet in fact, it will now enter a closed beta period.

Hopefully there won't be too many bugs and it can be released next week.

A last minute feature has been added; the ability to edit and delete custom icons.






As such, Beta 3 is now being tested to ensure there are no issues with the new code.

With a bit of luck it will be released some time this week.

After the installation i see nothing from Featured Threads in my forum.
I set the right for the admin group an my user to this point:



The setup is on default.




But it is nothing to see for me here:

Have you used Never in any other groups?

Use the Analyze Permissions function.

I found the Problem.

Is it possible to put in a switch to this addon that put one fetured thread only in the new feature site but not on top of the subforum.
So that I can choose where the thread will appear in both ore one places.

Featured threads can appear in these four areas:

• Forum list
• Forum view
• New posts
• Featured Threads page

Yes , I know but all this settings is for ALL featured threads. What I want it that I can chose for each thread the area.

So one thread in Forum List but not in Featured Threads page.
Another one only in the Featured Threads page but no where else.

Do you understand what I mean?
That would be very flexible.
