In that case delete my post please. I had read this thread looking for a solution and found people who couldn't get the home to highlight, only the forum tab, with you saying 'they all do that sir'. Seems I didn't read far enough through or misunderstood.

My particular problem probably derives from my own layout, where XF is in /community/ but Featured Threads, as the home portal, needs to be in the root domain. Anyway, I only managed to get 'forum' highlighting for Featured Threads.

It's not something I've ever tried.

Why do you have it installed in /community if you want the page to appear in the root?
Why not just move the installation to the root?

Wordpress is the CMS in root. It used to run the front page (still used for reviews). Your mod has just replaced it, so thank you.

Excellent, attachment issue sorted. :D I hope you've given some hints and tips to Mike & Kier. ;)

Is the FT icon now able to be rectangular with the image scaled to a specified height (or width)?

I'm fairly sure they know how to do it already ;)
You have Chris to thank though for this - I had a few problems getting it to work.

It always has been.
The code was a little buggy though so I have hopefully resolved the resizing and cropping issues as much as possible.
I would still recommend that the image used for the icon is either the actual size or the same exact ratio for the best results.

Don't worry, you'll be beta testing as usual so you can test it all then :D

Glad you've made an appearance @Sheldon :D

I've added a new class to the li elements to differentiate blocks with icons and avatars.

It will provide more flexibility when it comes to styling.

Using Featured Threads as portal works great. I do have a custom sidebar with Widget Framework (clear sidebar) and that seems to be the way to go.

This was the solution for me as I had numerous problems with XenPorta and compatibility (namely I couldn't get the various blocks to work with widget framework and such). Jaxel's products have been some what of a disappointment lately (Xenporta/Medio/Carta) with the lack of support, incompatibility with Widget Framework (which should be 100% standard) and other issues.

Thanks Brogan, you have gone above and beyond with this add-on. At first, I thought it was a niche "Promote a Post" add-on (albeit still useful) and it turns into this wonderful, fully-functional and appealing homepage portal. Keep up the great work.

Thanks for the feedback @Viserys, really appreciate it.

It would be great if you could add that as a review, for those who don't read this thread.
