Would it not be possible to update their usergroup at the point a winner is declared (and subsequent alert is sent)? Not saying it's something you should add but if someone wanted to extend the add-on and add this option.Well, sort of.
You could add them to a special user group and then not allow that use group to enter subsequent competitions.
Adding them to that user group is a manual process though.
You need to look at the "Competitions Archive". If you don't see it, you may not have permission to.
Thanks, I understand that. Just wondering if there was a quicker way I didn't see in options (or perhaps doing a find/replace all within files from Sublime Text, etc).Go to Admin CP > Appearance > Search Phrase: search for phrases containing the next "competition".
There'll be a lot of them but edit each one, change the text and save.
Wow, didn't even know there was a "phrases" section. Two months into XF and still haven't seen everything. Thanks. It will be the avforums_competitions phrase, I suspect.
Yes. Once only (in how many years?) We lost the T&Cs, we think when someone with competition admin rights went into the T&Cs page and accidentally and unknowingly wiped the contents of the box.Certainly not intended.
@Stuart Wright has this ever happened to you guys or is kontrabass here actually losing his mind?![]()
The thing is, I remember users complaining that the terms said the contest was for US-onlyCertainly not intended.

This is just a complete guess as there is no way (other than there being a bug) which it could happen.
For this reason we have limited access to me and Vicki.
Luckily we had the T&Cs on our sandbox so a quick C+P restored them. Or we'd have tried waybackmachine as a last resort.
That's a good suggestion for @kontrabassOr we'd have tried waybackmachine as a last resort.
