I am in the process of examining 15 years worth of posts on our message board with inherited trash from many different forum software packages. One of our earliest packages left a lot of html visible in the post content on line. In particular a lot of Some useful material ..
Is there a brief guide somewhere that would help me with the regular expressions or whatever I might need to strip all that old stuff out. In many cases the spans were being used to style text (almost all cases). I suppose I really want to replace the spans with bbCode equivalents from a table I would create of the translations. I am comfortable doing with the phpMyAdmin.
Has anyone else run into this issue?
