Instead of showing a video frame that takes up the chatbox, is there a way to hide the video behind a Spoiler tag that says Video or Media? I don't mean on a user level - something coded into the Chat itself, perhaps with an admin option "All Media Embedded in Spoiler".

We were having trouble getting the image size where we wanted it, but @Steve F just figured out it was to do with our s9e media pack embed add-on - additional code was needed in the css to work properly with it. So we're sorted now although I still think the Video spoiler is a viable option - better looking than a clickable link.

It would look the same as every other url posted in full, so I'm not sure what you mean... I've got it set like that so that YT videos don't take a bunch of space and it works fine. But yea, a clickable button would be even better.

I have three suggestions for the chat:

• The possibility to deactivate the sound and notification when someone joins or leaves a channel.
• Possibility to mute a room for a specific time or permanent. In this way, he will stop flashing, but I'm still active in the room.
• Multi line text field. It's possible to write with line breaks when edit a message, but not when write a message. This would be great in general.

Siropu. Since upgrading XF to 1.5.9, trying to @tag users in chat doesn't work. The name flickers for a split second and disappears.

Dunno if there's a fix here yet for this or not, but I have the same issue with auto complete after upgrading to 1.5.9 as well on any UI.X theme.

I've got a few different UI.X child themes and it doesn't work on any of them, AS WELL AS the default, unchanged UI.X theme.

I contacted support about it on Audentio's website. They said they'd patch a fix in on the next update of UI.X. When I contacted Siropu, I was told it wasn't an issue with the chat plug in as the class for auto complete was in the chat code.

I am also having trouble getting the permissions for editing / deleting or any other moderation actions to work.

I have them set accordingly in the user group permissions but they aren't taking effect.

How does this perform with a lot of chatters? I'm looking for an alternative to taigachat, as with too many chatters it is now crippling several cores of my server from load in peak periods, even collapsing the server once with 25+ chatters in it.

How does this go for server load with say 50 chatters?

I have set up user groups and settings accordingly, but can't seem to get the kick or prune functions to work.

You can only set default settings in chat admin options for users that haven't used the chat before.

@The Sandman, It could be a new option "Display media in spoiler". We'll see.
@Anthony Parsons, it depends on your server resources. I have added some options to optimize performance and I also plan to add WebSockets for best performance.

Quick question -- is there anyone out there that has been successful moving the chat page navigation link to instead be nested (childed) beneath the forums tab? I am looking to save room and wasn't sure if this can be easily accomplished, especially with the active count.

There is a file generated in data/Siropu/Chat/Actions used to make prune/edit/delete changes for all users when these actions occur.

@Rambro, I will see what I can do on the next release.

Not sure if this is known but I found a bit of a bug regarding the room password feature.

If a Moderator has access to edit a room but not set a password, Upon editing the room it'll remove any password and any groups set allowing anybody to gain access. this could be used by moderators to gain access to private rooms etc. The downfall is once they have access anybody else does too.

Also, I noticed double clicking the users in chat count closes the room. Is that a feature? My users keep closing rooms by mistake with it.

Great work as normal though! Recently bought a second license.

I will look into the password issue. As for the double clicking, it supposed to close the room if you click anywhere on the tab.
