XF 1.5 Changing the default style

I changed my default style to a new responsive style I've been working on. Past modifications to the previous default style interfered with the responsive design.

Here's my question: Are all registered users automatically transferred to the new default style?

I have an add on installed which shows me the number of people using each style. The number using each style seems to be staying the same. I had expected most to be automatically moved to the default.

If they have the default style set to the forum default in their preferences, then it will change when you change the default style.
