XF 1.3 Changing forums url

Heys,

My forumhome is currently www.site.com/forums/ and unfortunately, the individual forum links is www.site.com/forums/forums/. I want to change that into 1 level only (eg. www.site.com/sub/) or at least rename the last forums bit.

Whatever I tried so far in the Route Filters has failed

You cannot do that. You should instead consider renaming your /forums directory to something else such as /community, /f, etc.

We also have /forums, but I don't see a duplicate. For example, http://www.kh-flare.net/forums/spam-sector.22/.

folder, as we have a WP installation in the root

Actually, you can rename the route. For example:

Find Route: forums/
Replace With: f/

Tested on 1.3.0

www.site.com/forums/forums/ becomes www.site.com/forums/f/ if we apply the route filter as shown above.

If you want to rename the first /forums/ bit, you need to rename the directory.

Empty "Index Page Route".

I changed /forumS/ to /forum/ via the route.

Just wondering if doing so impacts SEO?
