XF 2.2 Changed forum type and lost all poll threads

I accidentally changed my forum type from discussion to article and when I reverted it back, I found that I lost all my poll threads. Is there a way to retrieve them?

You would need to restore from a backup.

Any content posted since the backup was taken will be lost.

It's worth noting that there are warnings related to this when changing forum node types.

Yeah, like it’s not enough, it needs to be a lot more obvious or at least if it can store the data so when you revert back the polls are added in again.

When articles were introduced, polls were also introduced as a thread type, essentially decoupling them from a discussion. When changing types in acp our brains were not yet conditioned to polls being decoupled, hence the error. For me, it is what it is. I concentrate on new content and not that of yesteryear. I move on.

Wait, I was thinking back to when it happened to me and I was using batch update to move threads. I believe there is no warning there.
