XF 2.3 can't see new registration anymore

hello,

I can't see new registration (top left) appearing and requiring admin approval
I did a test registration and approved by clicking the link received by email, but this test user isn't showing in the list for approval

What could be the issue?

If I search for users 'awaiting approval - I see users in the list

You should always reach for the permission analyzer when trying to diagnose potential permission issues. Don't rely on looking at individual user or group permission values. Note that you must also be a moderator (distinct from being an administrator and distinct from being part of a moderator user group).

If the permission analyzer looks OK and users awaiting approval still don't appear in the queue (you might try accessing the queue directly - index.php?approval-queue/) then I can only recommend trying on a default style with all add-ons disabled.

but if I do a search for users waiting approval I found some

That typically implies your account doesn't actually have the permission, and my advice to use the permission analyzer has still seemingly been ignored or at least not been acknowledged.

Sure, but your moderator and super moderator permissions are set to 'Never', which really does mean never. Groups are cumulative. Your primary user group should always be registered. And you should rarely use "Never" unless you really mean it. I highly recommend this guide for explaining and implementing permissions properly:

You should document any changes you make so you can backtrack when there are unintended consequences.
