It basically means the IMAP server didn't return the expected information. Maybe this couldn't be read, but it could also indicate not being an IMAP server (for example, it's a POP3 server) or incorrect authentication details.

and when I get this message only about 3 times a day?
if I test the account with thunderbird it it works perfectly

Are you receiving/processing bounce messages as expected? If so, you could roughly ignore it as it may just indicate temporary network type issues.
