California Case Update

If I were those guys outside the US, I wouldn't even bother responding... and make IB perform extradition proceedings to appear in court or force them to step outside the US into the country the person resides, and those courts, being the law they come under, not US law like IB's arrogance seems to think is global law with reach into any country they deem appropriate.

As far as I'm aware that could be held against them and would support the claims against XenForo and all parties involved.

I don't see how... these parties are being served individually for IB trying to take action against them as individuals, is that not correct?

If so, then that has nothing to do with supporting the XF case, as IB would need to get all these individuals into court separately prior to getting XF into court in order to use any credible and legal proof against XF from these parties.

It still makes me laugh that they are trying to claim they've lost custom because of XenForo, when will they realise, they lost it themselves through their own actions. They'd lost me as a customer long before XenForo was even announced. If anything Xenforo actually kept me using vbulletin for about 10 months longer.

I'd already decided to dump vbulletin and move to IPB before Xenforo was announced. When Kier and co announced it, I decided to hold off on my decision until I could evaluate the better choice between IPB and Xenforo. During this time if vbulletin had delivered on their promises they could have won me back but they didn't.

I'd love to be able to provide a testimony to this fact to help counter any claims in the case that xenforo has caused them a loss of custom.

Actually its a shame it isn't possible to get IPB to release figures of just how many people jumped to them from the sinking ship that is vbulletin, and maybe the judge would understand that the claims vbulletin are making are a load of rubbish.

Back when they threatened vB customers thinking of moving to XenForo.

That was probably the main turning point for me that lead to me leaving vBulletin soon after. I just couldn't believe they had the sheer cheek to start dropping THREATENING hints at their own customers not to leave buying XenForo. I never left buying XenForo, but that was enough to make me turn my back on them without buying it.

I've been out of the loop for awhile (3 months), so why are these other people being served?
Just IB trying to expand their nonsense as far as they can in an attempt to assert themselves more aggressively than they already are... basically, to keep collapsing their already collapsing empire by being stupid.

They believe these other individuals have played a role in some part or another within Xenforo's existence and VB's downfall... So don't be surprised if they try sending something out to all customers who left, because IB really do think US law is the only law and citizens around the world must comply to IB and US law.

Just ask them, they'll tell you. Want a second opinion, ask them again.

Nice...can't even be bothered to proofread for errors before submitting their amended complaint to the courts (I'm sure eagle-eyed Pam would have caught this, but here you go anyways ;) ):

 Seems like money went in wrong place lol they can't even check spelling before submitting papers in court .

Lawrence went on the attack earlier, against Lizard King, I can't believe he'd post this kinda thing against a former employee:

Really? And what documented source did you derive this from? Again, I really can't wait to see it...and speaking of "reputation", I've been told by multiple folks (devs, support, customer service, execs, QA, the janitor, etc) @ IB that you were one of the most incompetent coders in the history of vB. Now there's an "absolute fact" for you. What words do you have to hide from that???

#truthhurts

OMFG is that in a public forum?

Way to trash your *own* rep ... I can't believe vB (as a company) feel that is reasonable?

I expect the cracks will just get bigger over at vB.
